Having worked as Art Master at Rugby School for twenty years, Paul Martin now lives in Edinburgh and teaches at Leith School of Art. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Art he has exhibited regularly over the years. Paul Martin's paintings are large in scale and theme, figurative and multi layered. The encaustic medium employed in the paintings uses an ancient technique of mixing beeswax and raw pigment to build up subtle layers of colour and texture.
