Born in Japan in 1962, Kaori gained her BA in Fine Art from Tokyo University of Art and Design and an MA in Fine Art Sculpture from Chelsea School of Art, London. Now based in London, she exhibits work in the UK and abroad. Homma's work contains a wide range of traditions, practices and ideas inherent in the context of both East and West, from traditional Japanese paper making to installation and film.
Exhibitions include the Fieldgate Gallery, London, Nunnery, London, 20/21 Arts Centre, North Lincolnshire, Mitaka City Museum, Tokyo, Bury St. Edmunds Art Gallery and Angel Row Gallery, Nottingham.
