Iain McKillop

Iain McKillop is a British painter working mainly in the field of Christian religious art. He also produces paintings of architectural history and related subjects. He is also an ordained minister in the Church of England. Until recently he lectured in Art History at Kingston College School of Art. Iain has been artist in residence with the Community of the Resurrection, Mirfield.

Iain's most important commission so far has been the Lady Chapel Altarpiece, Gloucester Cathedral, 2004.  It consists of three panels over 7 ft high - Crucifixion, Pieta & Resurrection.  These are set in the broken mediaeval stone niches behind the altar.

He is at present undertaking a second altarpiece for Gloucester Cathedral. Other commissions are installed in Guildford Cathedral, Holy Innocents, Highnam, St John’s, Bury St. Edmunds, St Mary’s, Ewell, All Saints, Woodham, St Paul and St Mary’s Chapel, University of Gloucestershire and St Peter’s, West Molesly. He is also represented in a number of important private collections.
