Patricia was first introduced to icons during her training in education and dance. In the early 1970s, having been received into the Orthodox Church, she went to Paris and studied with Russian iconographer Leonid Ouspensky. Since then she has painted icons, both large and small, for individuals, churches and cathedrals as well as, more recently, teaching iconography at the Orthodox Cathedral of the Divine Wisdom in central London.
